SOFTWARE
Telefunken AR51
Great tube mic based on their classic ELA M251. (which itself was based on the legendary AKG C12). Telefunken's history is rich, long and winding, with gaps. About 20 years ago, the company name (at least for microphones) was bought by Toni Roger Fishman, who wanted to revive those great designs, and since then, they have been doing exactly that, including this one. Exactly what you'd expect from a great 251-style mic, damn sweet up top, and what I would call "aggressive clarity" in the middle. Would put this on anything. Might have to get another one.
