Classic, legendary mic for anything that generates a fair amount of low frequency energy (kick drum, bass). The 12E version is identical to the 12, except the XLR connection is built in, no pigtail; and the retaining clip is plastic, not brass. (I'd prefer the brass, but ya gotta take what ya can find with vintage gear) Plus: bass chamber. Oooh yeah.
